The good old outdoors is where my fitness journey began. From the time I could walk my parents had me playing sports. First it started with outdoor basketball tournaments which I did pretty well in, but I quickly transitioned to football. Playing football from peewee an all through highschool and even some in college has taught me a lot about training outdoor and honestly the most important thing I’ve learn is that training outdoors is that its a mindset. It builds a level a certain level of confidences to be dedicated to reaching your fitness goals even as people are watching.
Many people are under the impression that if you not in the gym and lifting heavy weight that they can’t get strong. They also think that the best form of cardio is running on the treadmill but they are wrong about both and because of my love for the outdoors and the unique services we offer, I was beyond excited to be apart of Primal Power Fitness.
One reason I think training outdoors is amazing is because it bring you back to the basics an allows you to create a fitness foundation. We live in a visual era with cameras everywhere and social media platforms that allow people to broadcast there opinions even if that opinion is about you. Many people want to get in shape so they go to the gym and try to copy a routine they seen on YouTube or copy the person next to them which ultimately leads to injury or just simple embarrassment. If this person just realized that as a child they didn’t have a bench press or a heavy dumbbell to curl, all they had was the incline of a hill they use to race up with their friend or the extreme high gate they had to climb every time a ball was hit over. I believe that these basic actions even at an older age will help to create a standard, foundation, and a level of security as you start to advance in the world of fitness. There really is nothing like the good old outdoors.
